Quill & Paw is a fictional brand. Nothing here is for sale.

About this site

Quill & Paw is not a real company.

It is a fictional pet food brand, built as a teaching client for marketing students at Centennial College in Toronto.

What that means in practice

Everything below is true, and worth reading before you take anything on this site at face value.

01

Nothing is for sale

There is no company, no product, no mill and no stock. No order can be placed, no payment is ever taken, and no personal information is collected anywhere on this site.

02

The content is invented

The recipes, the ingredient percentages, the prices and the customer reviews are written for illustration. Do not use any of it to make a decision about what to feed an animal.

03

Students work on it

Marketing students plan, build and analyze campaigns against this brand, and audit these pages. Having a real site to work on beats a screenshot, which is the whole reason it exists.

Why a fictional brand at all

Running real advertising needs a real business, a payment method and an approval queue, which is why this material is usually taught from screenshots. A brand that exists on the web, but not in commerce, lets a whole class each spend a budget badly and find out why.

One thing here is not invented. Mochi is a real dog, she really was diagnosed with pancreatitis, and she has fully recovered.
